Kendama Gent on VTM News, WHY?

On 11 September 2025, our journey with Kendama Gent reached a new milestone. We were featured on VTM, one of Flanders’ biggest TV channels. Watching our community, our loved sport-toy and our ambitions for Kendama across Belgium and Europe get national exposure was nothing short of surreal.

Whether you’re a longtime member, a new kendama enthusiast or curious about what’s happening in Belgium? this post is for you.

From Small Beginnings to National Television

One of the most beautiful parts of this experience was how our story was told. Viewers saw how Kendama Gent began as an idea between friends, nothing more than curiosity and passion and how that has grown into one of the most active Kendama communities in Belgium. They saw how we train, how we support each other, how newcomers become part of the group almost instantly.

A Breakthrough Moment for Kendama in Belgium & Europe

Being featured on VTM means more than airtime; it means recognition. It means Kendama is slowly finding its place within Belgian culture. No longer hidden, no longer niche. The toy with the ball and the cup is now something people talk about, something people try, something that sparks curiosity. And curiosity is powerful. Curiosity brings new players. Curiosity grows communities. Curiosity builds momentum.

Looking Forward With Excitement and Purpose

We believe this moment marks the beginning of something bigger. A spark for Kendama Belgium (Kendama België) and our home base here in Gent. More visibility means more hands discovering the feeling of a perfect catch. More new players ready to learn. More opportunities to build connections across Kendama Europe.

Our goals for the future are clear. We want to expand, connect, share and inspire. We want to create new meetups, welcome beginners, host events and continue building a place where anyone can grow their skills while having fun. And whether you’ve been playing for years or just discovered Kendama through VTM, you are welcome here.

This is the opening page of what comes next. We see a future where Kendama Belgium stands strong, where Kendama Gent continues to grow as a hub, and where our community becomes a recognizable part of the European Kendama landscape.

We are proud. We are grateful. And we are ready for more.

Kendama is here and Belgium is watching.
